Bio
Differing genres of music mean absolutely nothing to Damian. He can be best described as one of Melbourne's deepest house DJs and one of Australia's fiercest techno DJs. Damian has the ability to get a club moving to seductive jazzy beats, slamming minimal techno and everything in between. His DJing style does not merely revolve around filling a dance floor; it's all about getting people to listen and move to new and innovative sounds. Damian is one of the most eclectic djs in the country and his ability to adapt to any mood in a club or warehouse is unrivalled.
Finding new music is something Damian has managed to incorporate with his current position of employment as Manager of Listen 24-7 Distribution (both national and international). This newly developed derivative of Australia's longest running retail record store - Rhythm and Soul - (10 years) - has launched to fill the electronic niche within this market.
Prior to this position, Damian was the manager of Hardware Records for close to three years and a further two years as manager of Hardware distribution (2000-2002). During this period, Damian made a considerable impact on the dance music scene throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Each of these positions have enabled Damian to be in close contact with record labels, artists and DJs from around the world. This has given Damian an edge of breaking new sounds/labels via DJing and his distribution network and has also enabled Damian to remain on top of the cutting edge international dance music circuit.
During the past 5 years Damian has appeared at all major events including Gatecrasher, Two Tribes, Welcome NYE and Slinky to name a few and continues to tour nationally and internationally on a regular basis including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and New Zealand.
In Australia, Damian remains one of the country's most respected DJs by punters and other DJs alike. His technical ability behind the decks has seen him support international heavyweights such as Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Derrick Carter and Ian Pooley. just to name a few.
Recording commitments (2002) have seen Damian release music on BMG Worldwide and Germany's, "Morris-Audio" Label. In both instances Damian's flexibility within the studio demonstrates his ability to develop new takes on formulated music as it's known today.
